All Marine Life in Our Oceans
All of the Marine Life that lives in our Oceans are being affected by the Gulf Oil Spill (one of the worst environmental disasters in History). The Dolphins, the Great Whales, the Stingrays, the Sharks, the Sea Turtles, the Pelicans - all live in the ocean and the surrounding areas. The Sea Turtles migrate to the beaches offshore to hatch their eggs as every year, about 400,000 of them come from the sea to the shores. If our ecosystem and environment in the Ocean is affected and all polluted with Oil - how will all life (animals) in the Ocean survive? We must wake up, we must wake up, before our fragile Oceans and Marine Life are gone forever . . . For the first time in History - our Oceans and all of the Marine Life are in Danger of becoming extinct.
The Blue Whale is one of the biggest mammals that ever graced our Planet. It is 30 meters long, 200 tons and far bigger than the biggest dinosaur. Its tongue weighs as much as an Elephant. Its heart is the size of a car and its Tail is the width of an aircraft. It is one of the fastest animals in the Sea and consumes 40 million kreel fish a day.
The Pacific Ocean alone, covers half the Globe. There are several species of Whales that live in the Ocean (Blue Whales, Beluga Whales (resembles dolphins and are playful), Orcas ("Killer Whales"), Gray Whales, Brutus Whales, Humpback Whales and Right Whales). There are several species of Sharks that live in the Ocean (Hammerhead Sharks, Great White Sharks (the largest), Silky Sharks). The Ocean has a sheer physical power that dominates our Planet. It also influences our weather in the World. The Common Dolphins drive sardines to the surface to feast upon the abundance of food. The Albatross (birds) fly into the ocean to get fish. There is more life in the Sea (Oceans) than there is on Land alone. Every year, the Sea Turtles emerge from the tide all along the beaches. 400,000 will visit the beaches to lay their eggs in the sand. Their migration and nesting patterns starts when the Moon is in its 1st or last Quarter. Off the coast of Northwest America, the Seas are transformed by the increasing strength of the Sunshine. In Alaska, the coastal waters turn green. Herring fish produces abundant food for all Marine life. The Humpback Whales breed on the tropical waters of Hawaii. The Sea Lions feast off of the Herring. The Ocean provides food for all Marine life and all of the birds off of the coasts. Cocos Island is an underwater volcano which is a Haven for Sharks. The Gray Whales make one of the largest migrations undertaken by any Marine animal as they travel 12,000 miles from their breeding grounds of Mexico along the entire coast of North America. The Gray Whales follow traditional routes as they travel slowly with their young calves. On www.Amazon.com you can purchase: BBC's the Blue Planet: Seas of Life DVD series to watch all the Marine Life in our Oceans in their natural habitat, undisturbed by man's technology.
